Head Coach Jeremy Carter

Coach Jeremy Carter is from the Detroit area and has competed in martial arts and combat sports since the age of 4 when he started Tae Kwon Do and obtained his Green Belt. At age 8, he trained in Isshin-Ryu Karate for 7 years and achieved his Brown Belt, culminating his karate career with two national tournaments.
Coach Carter started wrestling as a sophomore at Northville High School where he was a 3-year varsity wrestler and earned a spot on the Michigan National Freestyle Team.
Following high school, Coach Carter joined the United States Marine Corps, serving as a ground electronics technician for 5 years, and was honorably discharged as a Corporal.
After successful military service, Coach Carter coached 2 years at Michigan at Novi High School resulting in 4 state qualifiers and 2 all-state placers. Next, he coached for 5 years at Livonia Churchill, resulting in 6 state qualifiers and 2 all-state placers. While coaching at Churchill, he also competed for 2 years in amateur mixed martial arts and was ranked 4th in the state at 125 pounds.
Coach Carter moved to Florida in 2012 and became Assistant Wrestling Coach at HB Plant High School (Tampa, FL) in 2015.
In 2017, Coach Carter assumed the position of Head Wrestling Coach at HB Plant High School.
